Stayed here in Sept. on a trip from the UK and would highly recommend Baxters. Joseph was very helpful giving us tips on where to eat and what to see. The beer, made on the premises, is also worth a mention especially as it was free to guests.
I absolutely loved staying here! The owner made booking so easy and was so welcoming! It was the perfect stay for this solo traveler. It's hard to pick a favorite thing about this place but highlights include: being cheerfully greeted with a delicious brown beer, the cozy outdoor sitting area for guests to mingle, and all the detail in the quaint yellow room I stayed in! I went to a concert at House of Blues Myrtle beach and this was a perfect halfway point to be able to spend time in Georgetown the next morning and not have as long of a drive home. Already trying to figure out when I can return!
We live in Horry County (next county over) and I would pay to stay again! Everything about the process from booking to check out was seamless. The owner had amazing guidebooks for the area if you wanted to explore. My husband also very much enjoyed the beer!
The Brewhouse is a fantastic place to stay for a getaway in Georgetown! The owners are wonderful people who are very attentive and extremely helpful! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect place to explore the city of Georgetown!
My son and I went to Georgetown to fish with a friend and I wanted to stay somewhere other than a cookie cutter hotel. So I found Baxter's Brewhouse. Great choice! The owners are friendly, great communicators, and attentive. The house, common areas, bathrooms, and our room were all completely spotless and clean. That really impressed me. The decorations were great and we could walk to dinner each night within a 5 minute walk. The area is very safe and there are lots of shopping and options for dinner. They don't have any hidden fees (like parking or cleaning or wifi). So what they tell you it will cost is what it will cost. No surprises on your bill at checkout. I will definitely be back again - might take my wife down there for a quick getaway.
This place is gem. The location is perfect! So close to the waterfront with a bounty of fantastic restaurants and shops (barely 2 min walk), yet very quiet and peaceful. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, and the beer is delicious! It will always be my number 1 choice when staying in Georgetown.
Great place to spend a few nights! The owners are super nice and have lots of tips for the area. Everything in Georgetown is within walking distance. The rooms are nice and clean, and the beer is cold, good and free-flowing. Just beware that the three rooms share two bathrooms (I see some others have been negatively surprised by this). They are well-appointed and clean however, and we hardly noticed that they were shared.
Wonderful experience. The neighborhood and town are very charming. Joseph is a wonderful host. The house is beautiful and the beer delicious. Many nice touches throughout.
